New Mexico is replacing BioTrack with a new state track-and-trace system called New Mexico Seed to Sale, or NMS2S, built for the Cannabis Control Division by Real Time Solutions. On August 14 the CCD published Industry Bulletin 26-09, and for the first time there is an actual schedule: which day BioTrack goes dark, which day your inventory gets copied over, and which day every sale in the state has to run through the new system.
Read together with Bulletin 26-08 from earlier in the month, the two documents cover most of what a licensee needs to plan around. The dates below are CCD's, not ours. The division calls them tentative and says it will publish updates if anything has to move, so treat this as the plan of record until a newer bulletin replaces it.

Your dates are different from everyone else's, and the one that matters most is not August 25.
Stock the store before August 25. From 5:00 PM that day until around September 2 you cannot receive product from anyone. That is roughly eight days of selling with no resupply, and CCD says outright that retailers should plan inventory around it.
Your record is captured September 1 at midnight. CCD's instruction is to have your retail inventory synchronized with BioTrack before that night. If your point of sale and BioTrack disagree, the BioTrack number is the one that becomes your opening inventory in NMS2S. The POS number is thrown away.
September 2 through 4 you run two systems. Sales stay in BioTrack while receiving happens in NMS2S, and CCD expects you to adjust your NMS2S inventory down to account for every sale made in BioTrack during the window. That instruction sounds worse than it is. It does not mean re-entering sales: nothing about the customer or the ticket goes into NMS2S, and the dispense screen stays idle until launch day. The tool is the Adjust Inventory function covered in the Inventory Rooms manual: open the inventory item, choose Adjust Inventory, enter the new total, pick an adjustment type, and write the reason. The workable routine is nightly. Pull your POS sales report by product at close, walk the list, and adjust each package the state system still shows too high, naming the dual-system window in every reason field so the paper trail explains itself. That is one entry per package touched, not one per sale, and there is no file import in the system, so plan for a person and an hour a night, not a spreadsheet upload. Decide now who owns those two nights.
September 4 your POS must be on the new API. After 12:01 AM every sale has to go through NMS2S, including sales that flow through a POS integrator. The integration is your vendor's to rebuild, so ask them now, in writing, whether they will be certified against NMS2S before September 4.
August 25 at 5:00 PM is your line. The record freezes as it sits, so any package that is wrong at that moment migrates wrong.
The bulletin is clear that the shutdown does not suspend your license privileges. You can keep growing, harvesting, and processing during the downtime. What you must do is keep accurate records of everything that changes, because CCD expects all of it to be reconciled inside NMS2S once your inventory reappears on or around August 31. Reconciliation on day one in an unfamiliar system will go a lot faster if the paper trail from the dark week is clean.
No samples in from August 25 through August 31. Producers and manufacturers who need results before restocking retail should think about that gap now, because a sample that misses the window waits out the whole shutdown. Historical results migrate; CCD says all past testing data will be over by August 31.
The earlier bulletin answered the structural questions, and two of its points are worth repeating because they have deadlines attached.
Only what is in BioTrack migrates. Not your POS records, not your spreadsheets, not what is physically on the shelf. The electronic state record is the record.
Logins do not carry over. Every BioTrack account is discarded. Whoever is listed as the primary controlling person in NM-PLUS becomes the first and only administrator on your NMS2S license until they create accounts for everyone else. If that name belongs to somebody who left the company two years ago, fix it in NM-PLUS before launch. It takes minutes and costs nothing.
One more thing CCD has been explicit about: adjustments made solely to make the record look clean for migration are not permitted. Finding a real discrepancy and correcting it through the proper mechanism is ordinary reconciliation. Zeroing things out to tidy up is not.
On August 18 CCD published Industry Bulletin 26-10. It delivers the training materials promised for the week of August 17, and it announces a dedicated NMS2S transition page. Bulletins will keep coming, but CCD says that page is now the central home for every transition resource and update. Bookmark it.

Read the manual for your license type before launch. Two of them reach further than their titles suggest: Transfer/Manifest applies to anyone who moves product, and the Organization Admin manual belongs in front of your NM-PLUS primary controlling person today, because on day one that person holds the only login your business has and creates the accounts for everyone else.
Beyond the manuals, the state's page confirms operating rules the earlier bulletins never spelled out:
The help line is not open yet. CCD says it will run Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but has not published the number. How-to videos, official FAQs, and live training session dates are all listed as in development. API documentation still exists only for point-of-sale integrations; other third-party tools, inventory management systems included, get documented after launch. All of it is supposed to land on the transition page as it arrives.
One warning from the state worth repeating: fraudulent emails impersonating RLD employees are circulating. Official CCD communication goes to the business email listed in NM-PLUS. If a message about the transition pushes a login link or asks for credentials, check the sender against RLD's staff directory before touching it.
